State Bar Of Texas Introduces New, Interactive Business Law Course

The State Bar of Texas is offering a brand new Advanced Business Law Strategies course for two days in October - Thursday and Friday, October 21 and 22, at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio.

Using a highly interactive format among attendees and panelists, this advanced-level seminar is designed to provide experienced practitioners an opportunity to examine cutting-edge issues.

On Thursday, courses run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Topics include Key Considerations with Distressed Transactions, a discussion moderated by Janice Vyn Sharry, Haynes & Boone LLP, and Mergers and Acquisitions, moderated by Byron F. Egan, Jackson Walker L.L.P. Raising Capital and Selling a Company During and After the Great Recession and Drafting of LLC Agreements and Issues Involving TBOC will follow in the afternoon.

On Friday the course runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and includes Recent Case Law Development for Texas Practitioners, Spotting Securities Law Issues: Cases in the Margin and How to Deal with Them, and a luncheon presentation, New Disciplinary Rules, with Kennon L. Peterson, Rules Attorney, Office of Court Administration.
