Southern California ACCA To Offer Seminar On Privacy Issues

The Southern California Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America this month has scheduled a CLE seminar titled Privacy Protection: What Every In-House Counsel Needs To Know About Managing And Protecting Private Employee, Consumer, And Company Information.

The program will be presented on Wednesday, February 21 at six greater Los Angeles area locations. The schedule includes: 8-9:15 a.m. at Mindspeed Technologies, 4000 MacArthur Boulevard, Newport Beach, CA; 8-9:15 a.m. at Hilton Hotel Corporate Headquarters, 9336 Civic Center Drive, Beverly Hills, CA; 8-9:15 a.m. at Guidance Software, Inc., 215 North Marengo Avenue, Pasadena, CA; 8-9:15 a.m. at Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc., 19200 Gramercy Place, Torrence, CA; noon-1:15 p.m. at Kroll, 777 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, and noon-1:15 p.m. at JD Power & Associates, 2625 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village, CA.

This program will provide a primer on the relevant federal and state laws affecting privacy issues to help in-house counsel identify and navigate potential pitfalls. The program will also offer tips for confronting common problems.
