The Southern California Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America is offering a CLE seminar titled Building, Moving, Expanding or Improving? What Every In-House Counsel Needs to Know About Construction Law But Was Afraid to Ask! on Wednesday, August 15 in six separate locations.

Sessions will take place from 8 to 9:15 a.m. at Mindspring Technologies, 400 MacArthur Boulevard, Newport Beach, CA; at the Hilton Hotel corporate headquarters, 9336 Civic Center Drive, Beverly Hills, CA, and at Guidance Software, Inc., 215 North Marengo Avenue, Pasadena, CA. Other sessions will take place from noon to 1:15 p.m. at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., 19200 Gramercy Place, Torrance, CA; at Kroll, 777 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, and at JD Power & Associates corporate headquarters, 2625 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village, CA.

This fast-paced seminar will provide attorneys with the tools to advise clients on best construction contracting practices, how to protect against contractor defaults, how to deal with claims and changes during construction, and how to protect against mechanic's liens.
