South Florida Seminar Looks At Developments In Employment Law

On Thursday, August 12, the South Florida Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel in conjunction with Proskauer Rose LLP will examine labor and employment law. The seminar is titled, Where Labor and Employment Law Will Break New Ground: A Look Forward.

The event will be held at the offices of Proskauer Rose at 2244 Glades Road in Boca Raton, Florida. The program will begin with breakfast at 8:00 and will adjourn at 10:00 a.m.

Allan Weitzman of Proskauer Rose LLP will share his views on how labor and employment law will break new ground in the future, including the following: new initiatives by the EEOC (pre-employment screening devices) and the DOL (independent contractors), new legislation (paycheck fairness and paid time off), new judicial developments (Ledbetter interpretations) and a new Democratic majority on National Labor Relations Board.
