Seminars Will Examine Variety Of Landfill Issues

The North Carolina Bar Association will present several video replays of an environmental CLE seminar titled Landfills and Technologies and Brownfields, Oh My!

Programs will take place on Friday, July 13 at the Guilford Technical Community College, 2007 Yanceyville Street, Greensboro, NC; on Friday, August 3 at the NC Bar Center, 8000 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC, and on Tuesday, August 7 at the International Trade Center, 200 North College Street, Charlotte, NC. Sessions run from 8:55 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Attendees will: learn about administrative appeals in the environmental context; hear updates on important case law and legislation; hear environmental engineers explain innovative technologies and vapor intrusion; gain an understanding of the opportunities presented by the brownfields and dry cleaning solvent cleanup programs, and learn the latest on the landfill moratorium and related solid waste issues.
