Seminar Will Take A Look At Lawyers' Image In Various Media

The State Bar of Arizona has scheduled the 2007 edition of an annual seminar titled Ethical Morning at the Movies.

The program will take place on Friday, December 14 from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Chaparral Suites Resort, 5001 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ.

This seminar will look at Arizona's new ethics rules now that they have been in effect for four years and the image of the legal profession and of the legal practitioner, historically and currently, as illustrated through various media. While it is expected to be entertaining, the program also will encourage lawyers to think about how their dealing with clients and others are affected by these media images and what they can do to improve not just their own dealings with others but the profession's image generally.

Speakers will include Larry Cohen, Meyer Hendricks PLLC; the Hon. Margaret H. Downie, Maricopa County Superior Court; Daniel H. McAuliffe, president, State Bar of Arizona; Severiano Rodarte, Phoenix attorney, and Robert B. Van Wyck, chief counsel, State Bar of Arizona.
