Seminar Will Review FDA-Related Issues

The New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association (NJCCA) this month has scheduled a CLE seminar titled The 110th Congress: FDA and Industry at a Crossroads.

The program will take place on Wednesday, May 9 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Sanofi-Aventis headquarters, 55 Corporate Drive, Bridgewater, NJ.

The 110th Congress is emerging as a critical time for the Food and Drug Administration and the industries it regulates. This program will address issues such as: the policy and politics of user fee reauthorization; current proposals to reform the regulation of drug safety mandate systemic risk management; the prospects for passage of a follow-on biologics legislation, and the likely contours of a follow-on statutory framework; the role of congressional oversight and investigations in driving FDA legislation; the legislative focus on pharmaceutical marketing, and the status of proposals on importation, clinical trials transparency, and FDA conflicts of interest.

Speakers will be Daniel Kracov, Arnold & Porter LLP, and Heidi Solomon Allen, associate general counsel, Sanofi-Aventis.
