Seminar Will Outline Details Of PA Economic Development Incentives

The Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) is offering a Cle seminar titled Economic Development Incentives in Pennsylvania in three locations.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 17 at the CLE Conference Center, Wanamaker Building, Juniper Street, Philadelphia; on Wednesday, January 23 at the PBI Conference Center, 5080 Ritter Road, Mechanicsburg, PA, and on Wednesday, January 30 at a Pittsburgh site to be announced. Sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

For businesses, access to state incentive programs can help to reduce the cost of financing capital projects or the burden of state or local taxes. But state financial programs are not for the unprepared. Your client needs to fully understand the conditions and restrictions that accompany the use of state funds. This course is designed to provide an overview of Pennsylvania's economic development incentive programs, summarize their use and targeted businesses, and highlight program characteristics of which applicants should be aware when pursuing such incentives.

The course planner is Emily J. White, principal advisor, Front Street Advisors LLC.
