Seminar Will Offer Business/Technology Update

The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) will present a CLE seminar titled Hot Topics in Business and Technology Law - 2006.

The program will take place on Wednesday, June 20 from noon to 1 p.m. at the BASF offices, 301 Battery Street, San Francisco. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Discussion topics will include: will all websites be required to comply with the ADA?; a dynamic shifting in trademark focus - two major statutory enactments; what to do under the SEC's brand new compensation discussion and analysis requirements; counseling your client on employee blogging and other Internet usage; blogs and social networks - new liabilities and means to avoid them; the judicial morphing of open source licenses; stock options and "as of" dating in unanimous written consents, and licensing responses to MedImmune v. Genentech.

Speakers will be James C. Chapman, Nixon Peabody LLP; Stephen P. Hollman, Business & Technology Law Group, and Donna M. Petkanics, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
