Seminar Will Offer Advice On Preserving Record For Appeal

The Bar Association of San Francisco this month is planning a CLE seminar titled Preserving the Record Now and Avoiding Headaches Later.

The program will take place on Friday, March 30 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the CLE Auditorium, 465 California Street, San Francisco.

Discussion topics will include: practical tips for preserving the record on appeal during trial - failure to preserve the record may result in forgoing damages claims and other remedies, and creating a complete record requires anticipating appealable issues from the earliest pre-trial proceedings through post-trial motions. This program will provide the basics for creating and preserving the record from two certified appellate specialists with extensive experience in prosecuting and defending cases.

The speakers will be Mitchell E. Abbott and T. Peter Pierce, Richards, Watson & Gershon.
