Seminar Will Offer Advice On Persuasive Writing Techniques

The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) is planning a CLE seminar titled Persuasive Legal Writing.

The program will take place on Tuesday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street, San Francisco. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The session is designed to teach attorneys how to write motions and briefs that capture the court's attention. Participants will learn how to apply more than 70 tips to help them: write shorter briefs more easily and more quickly, enhance their stature in the eyes of the court, please their client, and increase their chances of winning.

Speakers will be Daniel U. Smith, a certified appellate specialist, and Justice Gary E. Strankman, a retired justice of the California Court of Appeal.
