Seminar Will Explore Negotiation Of Environmental Indemnities

The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) is offering a CLE seminar titled Risk Allocation: Negotiating Environmental Indemnities.

The program will take place on Wednesday, May 14 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the LACBA Conference Center, 281 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m.

Panelists will discuss the negotiation of environmental indemnities and related provisions in real estate purchase and sale agreements and financing instruments. The program will attempt to answer questions such as: How might environmental risk be allocated among the parties? How effective are the attempts to transfer or protect against environmental risk? What suretyship issues may apply?
