Seminar Will Explore Enforcement Actions Against U.S. Firms' Overseas Activities

The firm of K&L Gates has scheduled a CLE seminar titled International Enforcement 2008: The Long Arm of U.S. Criminal and Regulatory Law.

The program will take place on Friday, December 7 from noon to 3:30 p.m. at the K&L Gates offices, 1601 K Street, NW, Washington, DC.

American regulatory agencies and criminal prosecutors are increasingly scrutinizing overseas activities of American companies and their subsidiaries for the possibility of bringing enforcement actions - even criminal ones - in this country. In this seminar, K&L Gates' Securities Enforcement and White Collar Crime and Criminal Defense practice groups have joined to comprehensively address these new risks.

Speakers will be Dick Thornburgh, former U.S. attorney general, and Jeffrey Bornstein, Douglas Broder, Fred Heather, Walter Loughlin, Jeffrey Maletta, Michael Missal, Michael O'Neil, Michael Ricciuti & Donald Smith, all K&L Gates.

There is no registration fee for the seminar. For registration information, call (212) 536-4857.
