Seminar Will Examine Texas Corporation Law

The State Bar of Texas is offering a CLE seminar titled Texas Business Organizations: Choice of Entity and Formation.

The program will take place on Friday, May 18 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa, 9800 Hyatt Resort Drive, San Antonio, TX. A video replay will be scheduled for Friday, June 15 at the Cityplace Conference Center in Dallas.

The session will focus on the Texas Business Organizations Code that went into effect in January 2006. Among the discussion topics will be: Partnership (General, Limited and LLP) and Limited Liability Company Formation and Opt-in Decisions; Corporation Formation and Opt-in Decisions; Indemnification and Limitation of Liability; Winding Up and Dissolution of Entities, and How to Decide What Entity and Law to Use.
