The Bankruptcy Reform Act's One-Year Mark: What's New in Chapter 11 is the title of a CLE seminar scheduled this month by the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA).
The program will take place on Tuesday, November 14 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the LACBA Conference Center, 281 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles. Registration starts at 11:45 a.m.
Speakers will report on what changes have most significantly affected Chapter 11 since the adoption of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 and what experienced Chapter 11 practitioners are doing to comply with, take advantage of, and work around the provisions of the new law.
Panelists also will discuss the important cases to date interpreting the new Bankruptcy Code in the Chapter 11 context and what key issues remain to be decided.
