Seminar Will Discuss Handling Litigation Cost-Effectively

The Southern California Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America is planning a CLE seminar titled Controlling the Cost and Outcome of Litigation - Strategies to Increase Efficiency and Chances of Success on Wednesday, July 18 at six locations.

Sessions will take place from 8 to 9:15 a.m. at Mindspeed Technologies, Inc., 4000 MacArthur Boulevard, Newport Beach, CA; the Hilton Hotel corporate headquarters, 9336 Civic Center Drive, Beverly Hills, CA, and Guidance Software, Inc., 215 North Marengo Avenue, Pasadena, CA. Sessions will take place from noon to 1:15 p.m. at Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., 19200 Gramercy Place, Torrance, CA; Kroll, 777 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, and JD Power & Associates, 2625 Townsgate Road, Westlake Village, CA.

The presentation discusses cost-effective actions to take (and not take) at the outset and throughout litigation to increase efficiency and changes of success, including what motions are most cost-effective, what to do and what to avoid in discovery, and inexpensive ways to increase settlement leverage.

Speakers will include Tom Case, Susan Clary, Orlando Cabanday, Michael G. King, Janice Kroll and Paul Martin, Hennelly & Grossfeld LLP. Which speakers will appear at which location is still to be announced.
