Seminar Will Cover Employment Law Basics

The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) will present a CLE seminar titled The Nuts and Bolts of Employment Law.

The program will take place on Saturday, November 17 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Southwestern University School of Law, 675 South Westmoreland Avenue, Los Angeles.

A panel of Los Angeles employment attorneys will guide participants through this dynamic area of the law. Topics will include plaintiff-client intakes, employee handbooks, wage and hour law, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and retaliation. This is a "nuts and bolts" program designed for attorneys in the employment practice area and practitioners who specialize in other areas who are seeking a basic knowledge of employment law.

Among the speakers are Stephen M. Bernardo, Appell/Hilaire/Bernardo; Stephen W. Cooper, Kegel Tobin & Truce APC; Nicole Husband, Warner Brothers Entertainment Group, and Jeffrey S. Ranen, Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith LLP.
