Seminar Will Cover Basics Of Business Law

The Minnesota State Bar Association is offering a CLE seminar titled Business Law 101.

The program will take place on Monday, February 18 from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Minnesota CLE Conference Center, Seventh Street and Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis.

The session will cover a wide variety of business law topics such as: The Veterans and the New Kids: Corporations and Partnerships vs. LLCs and LLPs; ABCs of Corporate Organization; Taxation and Entities and Owners; Hiring, Firing and Discipline; Corporate Capitalization, Control and Buy-Sell Agreements; Employee Benefits Basics; Intellectual Property Issues for the New Business; Overview of Secured Transactions; Raising Capital for the Private Company; Common Employment Law Issues in the Start-Up Business, and Counseling a Financially Distressed Business Client.
