Seminar To Probe Bill Of Rights

The State Bar of Texas has scheduled a CLE program titled Bill of Rights Course 2007.

The two-day session will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, May 23 and 24 at the Cityplace Conference Center in Dallas. Sessions will run from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. on the first day and from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the second day.

Speakers will examine issues such as: U.S. Supreme Court Update: The Year in Review; Historical Development of the First Amendment Religion Clauses; Access to the Courts and Counsel: A Constitutional Guarantee in Jeopardy?; Free Speech in the Technology Age; The Constitution Goes to Work: How the Bill of Rights Affects Employment Law; Practicing From the Shadows: Depression and the Legal Profession; The Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses, and The Texas Bill of Rights: A Broader Protection Than the U.S. Constitution.

The course director is Chad Baruch, assistant principal at Yavneh Academy of Dallas.
