The New England Legal Foundation this month is offering a breakfast program titled Committing Your Company to Arbitration: Benefits and Pitfalls.
The program will take place on Thursday, May 3 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Boston College Club, 100 Federal Street, Boston. A buffet breakfast begins at 8 a.m.
Among the questions to be addressed are: What types of actions are best suited to arbitration? How do plaintiff's lawyers view arbitration versus litigation? Is a case more likely to be amicably resolved in the arbitration or litigation context? Does arbitration provide adequate discovery for a complex business case? Do the benefits of arbitration outweigh the loss of judicial precedent? Is the risk of a substantial damage award less in arbitration than litigation?
