Seminar To Focus On Environmental Law

MCLE will sponsor a program titled Environmental Law: MCLE BasicsPlus! that will present a practical and comprehensive overview of this law that pervades every aspect of modern legal practice. The operation of any business or the buying, selling, or development of any real estate requires knowledge of a wide variety of environmental regulations.

The program will be held on Thursday, September 18 at the MCLE Conference Center, 10 Winter Place, Boston from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Experienced private and public environmental attorneys and consultants will share their expertise. Among them will be Norman Edward "Ned" Bartlett, II, chair, Bowditch & Dewey LLP; Lawrence E. Feldman, GZA GEOEnvironmental, Inc; Kenneth L. Kimmell, Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, and Margaret R. Stolfa, Department of Environmental Protection.

The lecture sessions will be complemented by interactive sessions that will include a hypothetical case study of a business property and the applicable environmental law, regulations, permits, and standards; group discussions, and panelist suggestions on how to spot issues, analyze alternatives, and get more information.
