Seminar To Explore Buy-Sell Agreements

The New York City Bar Association has scheduled a CLE seminar titled The Complexities of Buy-Sell Agreements - Drafting & Preparing Made Simple.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the House of the Association, 42 West 44th Street, New York City.

Most attorneys represent companies that have two or more owners, or individuals who own interests in businesses. Preparing a buy-sell agreement, or the buy-sell provisions of a partnership, LLC or shareholders' agreement, involves complex issues of corporate and business law, tax law, estate planning, accounting and insurance, as well as ethical considerations. This course will cover these aspects of buy-sell agreements.

The panel includes corporate, tax and estate planning attorneys, as well as an accountant and an insurance professional. The program chair is Bruce D. Steiner, Kleinberg, Wolff & Cohen, P.C.
