Seminar To Examine Commercial Law Issues

The State Bar of Texas will present a video replay of a CLE seminar titled Consumer and Commercial Law Course 2007.

The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, November 1 and 2 at the Cityplace Conference Center, 2711 North Haskell, Dallas. Sessions will run from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first day and from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second day.

Among the discussion topics will be: Defects Claim Handling: A View From the Inside; Legal Writing: Lessons From the Bestseller List; Identity Theft; Firm Offers of Credit; Oral Persuasion Isn't Just for the Appellate Courts; Presenting Motions in the Trial Court; Lawyers' Most Common Citation Mistakes; Metadata and Electronic Discovery, and Winning at Mediation: A Panel of All-Star Mediators.

The course co-directors are Richard M. McElvaney Jr., Lone Star Legal Aid, and Chad Baruch, assistant principal, Yavneh Academy of Dallas.
