Seminar in Vail To Offer Employee Benefits Track

The Colorado Bar Association is hosting a National CLE Conference in Vail this year and offering a variety of programs, including Employee Benefits.

The conference is scheduled for Wednesday to Sunday, January 6 to 10, at the Marriott Mountain Resort in Vail.

An early morning and late afternoon CLE format will allow attendees the time to enjoy the beautiful mountain setting. Morning sessions begin at 7 a.m. and adjourn at 9 a.m., and afternoon programs begin at 4:30 and run until 6:30 p.m. Networking opportunities are scheduled throughout.

This particular track will be moderated by Rory Judd Albert, Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation & ERISA Litigation Group, Proskauer Rose LLP, New York, and Thomas G. Schendt, Alston & Bird LLP in Washington DC. Mr. Schendt will offer a Washington Update Compliance; and Current Administration Guidance as Well as Audit Activity on Wednesday afternoon, and Mr. Albert, along with Andrew Irving, Independent Fiduciary Services Inc., will present The "Investment Panic of 2008 and 2009" and It's Impact on Retirement Plan Investments.

On Thursday afternoon, Larry J. Cohen of the Cohen Law Firm will present Legal Ethics Can Be Fun: Lawyers on TV and in the Movies, and on Friday morning, Myron D. Rumeld, also with Proskauer Rose, will present A Class "Act": The impact of Recent Case Law on ERISA Class Certification Strategies.
