Seminar Focus: Workplace Discrimination Against Caregivers

The Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) will present a CLE seminar titled Caregiver Discrimination in the Workplace.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 31 from noon to 1:30 p.m.

This program is designed to illustrate the issues that may arise as traditional caregiving roles have evolved and employers and employees attempt to balance work and family responsibilities.

Questions that speakers will address include: When does a particular employment decision affecting a caregiver violate federal EEO laws? What efforts can employers make to help employees satisfy their caregiving responsibilities while maintaining an efficient and effective workplace? Can an employer's lack of caregiver-friendly policies form the basis for legal action?

The program chair is Marylou Fabbo, Skoler, Abbott & Presser PC.
