Seminar Focus: How To DealWith Outdated Boilerplate

The Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) this month is offering a CLE seminar titled Take the Boil Out of Boilerplate: Often Ignored Contract Provisions.

The program will take place on Thursday, November 16 from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the LACBA Conference Center, 281 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

Lawyers often ignore the boilerplate provisions in a contract and focus on the 'deal.' Unfortunately, when a deal evolves into litigation, it is often the boilerplate provisions that may be outdated, not really applicable to the deal or not even valid under current law. This program provides insights into these issues and provides forms and suggested provisions for the most common issues.

The featured speaker will be Lawrence Teplin, Cox Castle & Nicholson LLP.
