Seminar Focus: Corporate Negotiations

The Minnesota State Bar Association this month is offering a CLE seminar titled Corporate Negotiation: How to Control the Process, Respond to Your Opponent's Games, and Get Better Results in Your Next Negotiation.

The program will take place on Friday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Minnesota CLE Conference Center, Seventh Street and Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis.

Among the discussion topics will be: Prepping for the Corporate Negotiation: Working Efficiently With Your Client, Setting Goals and Limits, Developing the Right Strategy; Establishing Negotiators' "Identities" and the Tone of Negotiation; 7 Ethical Dilemmas Frequently Encountered in Corporate Negotiations; Identifying and Responding to Negotiation Games and Techniques, and Specific Problems and How to Solve Them.

The speakers are Charles B. Craver, professor of law, George Washington University National Law Center, and James T. Hale, former general counsel, Target Corporation.
