Seminar Focus: Conducting Investigations

The WolfInstitute will sponsor a seminar titled Harassment, EEO and Other Investigations on Wednesday, June 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the WolfInstitute Training Center, 250 Park Avenue, New York City. The program instructor will be WolfBlock partner, Jonathan A. Segal.

If an employee alleges that he or she has been subject to unlawful harassment, discrimination or retaliation, an employer ordinarily has an obligation to commence an immediate investigation. In some cases, the investigation may help the employer avoid liability altogether. At a minimum, it might minimize exposure to damages. The seminar will focus on when and how to investigate allegations of unlawful harassment, discrimination or retaliation.Particular attention will be paid to how to document the input obtained from all of the relevant parties as well as how to document the decision-making and corrective action processes.
