Seminar Focus: Basics Of Private Arbitration

The State Bar of Arizona will present a CLE seminar titled Private Arbitration Update: Fundamentals and Best Practices.

The program will take place on Thursday, October 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sheraton Tucson Hotel and Suites, 5151 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ.

At this "boot camp" style seminar, participants will: cover the basics of private arbitration and how it differs from court litigation; take a crash course in the ABCs of commercial arbitration, and learn how to handle a business case where neither the rules of evidence nor the rules of discovery common in court action typically apply.

The program chair is Mark Lassiter, The Lassiter Law Firm, PLC. Other speakers will be Darin Allen, vice president, AAA Phoenix regional office; Lawrence Fleischman, The Fleischman Law Firm PC, and Ruth Franklin, solo practitioner.
