Massachusetts CLE this month has scheduled another edition of its Business Boot Camp for Lawyers.
The program will take place on Thursday and Friday, January 25 and 26 at the MCLE Conference Center, 10 Winter Place, Boston.
MCLE designed this intensive Business Boot Camp to provide an introduction to the central topics in finance including: financial statement analysis and financial forecasting, capital structure and choice of financing instrument, cost of capital, investment evaluation, and project and business valuation.
The featured speaker is David Scharfstein, professor of finance and banking, Harvard Business School. Prof. Scharfstein employs lectures, exercises, cases and breakout sessions to explain the links between financial considerations and broader business issues. The lectures introduce new concepts and techniques. The cases introduce some basic concepts in a concrete way, illustrate the applicability of the lecture material and give registrants an opportunity to practice with the tools.
