The North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) will present a CLE seminar titled Winning Before Trial: The 10 Keys to Winning Depositions in two locations.
The program will take place on Thursday, February 21 at the Holiday Inn Charlotte Center City, 230 North College Street, Charlotte, NC, and on Friday, February 22 at the NC Bar Center, 8000 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC. Sessions will run from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at each site.
The featured speaker is Dominic J. Gianna, partner at Middleburg Riddle & Gianna and veteran CLE lecturer. He uses numerous slides and videos, taking attendees through the 10 Keys to Winning Depositions. He demonstrates his "surgical" approach to depositions and illustrates how to use the rules to take immediate control and obtain complete closure. He illustrates three Power Steps to gather facts, obtain admissions and test theory. Attendees will learn how to open and close trial doors, and understand how to exhaust a witness's knowledge of a topic.
