On Tuesday, January 13, The DC Bar Association will present a course titled Introduction to Department of Security Clearance Cases. The seminar will take place beginning at 6 p.m. and conclude at 9:15 p.m. at the DC Bar Conference Center, 1250 H Street, NW, Washington, D.C.
The seminar, which will be led by Peregrine Russell-Hunter, Defense Legal Services Agency, is intended to provide valuable information on the procedural framework and substantive rules applied to personnel security due process provided by the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals. Participants will receive an introduction to security clearance adjudications, and the basic steps by which cases are originated.
Of special interest to participants will be a further course offered by the DC Bar titled How To Represent Your Client Effectively in Security Clearance Cases. This seminar will be held at the same location on Tuesday, January 27 from 6 p.m. until 9:15 p.m., and will provide basic background and training on security clearance cases and how to defend security clearance denials and revocations throughout the federal system to include representation of both employees and contractors.
