San Francisco Bar TrainsVolunteers For Negotiation Project

The Bar Association of San Francisco will train lawyers to work in its Housing Negotiation Project on Tuesday, December 16, from 4 to 6 p.m.

The training will take place at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco.

Lawyers will learn the basics of representing low-income tenants who are facing eviction. Volunteer attorneys are needed to staff unlawful detainer settlement conferences and provide limited scope representation to unrepresented litigants during these mandatory settlement conferences. This is a great way to help your community and gain courtroom and litigation experience.

A commitment to staff at least four courthouse shifts within six months of the training is required of attendees.

To register for the seminar, call 415-782-9000 ext. 8759.
