San Francisco Bar To Offer Update On Environmental Legislation

The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) is planning a CLE seminar titled This Just In: A Report on New California Environmental Legislation From the 2007 Session.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 10 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street, San Francisco. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

A number of environmental policy initiatives emerged in bills enacted in the last Legislative session. Many of these new laws were scheduled go into effect on January 1. Notable developments include bills affecting: energy; climate change; air quality; hazardous materials/hazardous waste; water quality; land use; CEQA; solid waste; cleanup and brownfields. Gary Lucks, principal environmental attorney and scientist with Beyond Compliance, will discuss these new laws and their important compliance implications for commercial and industrial organizations.
