San Francisco Bar To Explore China's IP Laws

In a program titled China's IP Laws, Ambush Marketing, and Piracy, presenter Seagull Haiyan Song will provide an overview of IP law in China.

The program will be held at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco. The lunch and program will go from noon to 1 p.m. with registration at 11:30 a.m.

Ms. Song, Foreign Attorney with Arnold & Porter, is a former partner with King and Wood (China), which was the sole domestic counsel for the Beijing Olympic Games Committee. She will discuss IP issues related to the 2008 Olympic Games, specifically how Chinese agencies and firms addressed ambush marketing and unauthorized retransmission of the games over the internet.
