San Francisco Bar Slates Insurance Law Seminar

The Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) has scheduled a CLE seminar titled 2007: Insurance in Review.

The program will take place on Thursday, January 17 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street, San Francisco. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

Panelists will discuss important California insurance decisions rendered during the past year, including: changes in the law surrounding intentional and criminal acts (Delgado v. Southern California Automobile Club); developments regarding allocation to primary and excess coverage (Padilla Construction v. Transport Insurance Company); analysis of insurance choice of law issues (Frontier Oil v. RLI Insurance Company), and punitive damages update (Walker v. Farmer's Insurance Exchange).

Speakers will include Justice James J. Marciano, presiding justice, California Court of Appeal, First District, Division One; John DiMugno, publisher, California Insurance Law Reports; Paul E.B. Glad, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, and David B. Goodwin, Heller Ehrman LLP.
