San Francisco Bar Helps Corporate Clients With "Proper Burial"

The Bar Association of San Francisco will help lawyers give advice about how to dissolve a company in a luncheon seminar titled Proper Burial: How to Advise Your Corporate Clients. It will run from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco.

Timothy Young of Fortis General Counsel, LLP and Brian Y. Lee who is with PivotPoint Law, PC, will explain how a lawyer should address clients when the end is near, including considerations when choosing among corporate dissolution, bankruptcy, and other alternatives; the things that directors and officers must watch out for to avoid personal liability; and the creditor issues that could arise when you wind down a company.
