San Francisco Bar Examines Internet Copyright Issues

Copyright Issues on the Internet is the topic of an upcoming brown bag luncheon sponsored by the Bar Association of San Francisco on Thursday, November 3.

It will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the BASF Conference Center, 301 Battery Street in San Francisco.

Speakers Fred von Lohmann, senior copyright counsel, Google Inc.; Jay Monahan, deputy general, Zynga Inc.; and Tony Schoenberg, counsel partner, Farella Braun + Martel LLP, will cover the following issues: update re DMCA safe harbors for hosting, from video hosting to cyberlockers; leaving the safe harbor for the open seas - cablevision, Zediva and storage in the cloud; and recent developments in case law and significant pending appeals in such cases as Viacom v. YouTube and Perfect 10 v. Google.
