San Francisco ACC To Host In-House Counsel Membership Event

On Friday, December 12, the San Francisco Bay Area ACC will host an event for in-house counsel that will include networking, a discussion of membership benefits, a membership drawing, and professional communications advice.

The event will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley, 2050 University Avenue in East Palo Alto. It will begin with registration, a networking breakfast, and a membership benefits discussion from 8:30 to 9 a.m. followed by the presentation and questions from 9 to 11:15 a.m. and a drawing for prospective ACC members from 11:15 to 11:30 a.m.

Special guest Steve Hughes, a communication consultant, large-group speaker and founder of Hit Your Stride, LLC, will present a professional communications discussion titled Own the Room: Tips to Help You Present Advice with Impact.Mr. Hughes uses the latest psychological research to show how various audiences want to receive and process information so that they will be receptive to hearing and understanding information and act on your recommendations. His presentations are fun, informative, and practical, with ideas and tips you can apply right away. After all, true success as an in-house attorney requires the ability to communicate ideas and legal advice effectively.

After the presentation, ACC will have a drawing to give away ten 12-month memberships for participation in the ACC San Francisco Bay Area chapter. To be eligible, you must be an attorney currently working in-house and not yet an ACC member.
