San Diego ACCA Session To Discuss Corporate Diversity Programs

The San Diego Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America has scheduled a program titled Meet Your Counterpart: Diversity Models.

The session will take place on Tuesday, December 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the offices of Carlton DiSante & Freudenberger LLP, 4510 Executive Drive, San Diego.

The program will act as a follow up to the SDCBA/Ethnic Relations & Diversity Committee's October 16 presentation by MCCA President Veta Richardson. This presentation is designed to provide roundtable attendees a roadmap for their own diversity programs so they can avoid "reinventing the wheel" when developing their own programs.

MCCA's law department national best practices guide will be used as a springboard for a law department diversity discussion led by Sempra and Rick Engineering that broadly looks at the national best practice guide, refines those practices to take into account regional issues that San Diego companies face, and then further refines those practices by looking at the issues large (Sempra) and small (Rick Engineering) companies face.

Speakers will include Cathy Lee, Sempra Energy; Dennis Stryker, Rick Engineering, and Ron Garnett, Greater San Diego Business Development Council.

There is no registration fee. For details on available CLE credits, see the Bulletin Board on The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounsel.com.

For reservations, call Leslie Mason at (858) 646-0007 or email [email protected].
