The San Diego Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America is planning a CLE seminar titled Welcome to the Morning from Hell: Preparing for the Unthinkable in Europe.
The program will take place on Thursday, July 12 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at a San Diego site to be announced.
The program will be a case study based on the following premise: One of your subsidiaries in Europe or a joint venture company in which you are invested is suddenly at the center of an incident which is not of its making and which may eventually attract no liability. The potential for damage to the business is nonetheless real and immediate. The seminar will examine the careful advance planning that is vital if that risk is to be managed and minimized. It will discuss the need for comprehensive review of the remote business and an evaluation of the risks to which it would be exposed in a crisis.
The speaker will be Jonathan Crook, Eversheds LLP.
