On Thursday, June 24, the San Francisco ACC chapter has scheduled a Mini MBA program at the Rady School of Management, Otterson Hall, UCSD Campus.
It will run from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This one-day executive development program is designed especially for corporate attorneys in the San Diego area.It is lead by faculty from within and outside the UC faculty and uses an interactive format.
The focus is one three practical business management topics: CashFlow Management for Growth with David Ravetch, a 25-year UCLA accounting faculty member; Spurring Creativity in Times of Crisis with Robert Epstein, a psychologist, researcher and writer and a visiting scholar at the UC San Diego; and Risk-Adjusted Return on Investment with Rossen Valkanov, associate professor of finance at the Rady School.
Mr. Ravetch will cover managing cash flow issues in growth businesses, which might face cash flow management problems after a successful startup phase. Robert Epstein will discuss creativity and how it will enable a company to meet its goals and get more out of its employees and resources to increase output simply and quickly - skills that are helpful to any company, but especially a company in a crisis. Mr. Valkanov will suggest an alternative to the strict return-on-investment model with a single hurdle rate that is used by most companies.
