San Diego ACC Looks At Social Networking - Pluses and Perils

The San Diego ACC chapter will hold a lunchtime professional development program titled Social Networking as a Professional Development Tool on Thursday, September 24, from noon to 1 p.m. at the offices of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, 4401 Eastgate Mall in San Diego.

Knowing why you are on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter is a good place to start, as social networking sites have great potential for developing a circle of influence and for having a positive or negative impact on a professional reputation.

Presenting the do's and don'ts of social networking is Heather Milne Barger, marketing communications manager at Cooley Godward Kronish. She is responsible for the firm's social networking activities and works closely with many lawyers making sure they understand the conventions and implications of networking so that it works for, not against, them.

For more information about available CLE credits and fees, see CLE Events at The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel website at www.metrocorpcounsel.com.
