Sacramento ACCA PreparingSeminar On Wellness Programs

Navigating Employee Wellness Program Waters is the title of a CLE seminar planned by the Sacramento Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America.

The program will take place on Thursday, May 17 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Casa Garden Restaurant, 2780 Sutterville Road, Sacramento, CA.

With increased fervor across the nation, companies are jumping into the employee wellness program waters. The goals of reduced healthcare costs, increased workforce productivity, and improved quality of life and longevity have corporate America swimming toward the future of healthcare. But legal snags lurk, threatening to capsize good intentions. To help deal with these snags, California Gov. Schwarzenegger has introduced a health care proposal emphasizing prevention, health promotion and wellness. Participants will be introduced to wellness program trendsetters and will discuss why they should care.

The featured speaker is Marsha Augsburger, McDonough Holland & Allen.
