Ronnie Johnson Joins Holland & Knight as Partner

Holland & Knight has bolstered its Public Policy & Regulation Group with the addition of Ronnie Johnson as a partner in Dallas. Mr. Johnson previously practiced at McGlinchey Stafford.

Prior to joining McGlinchey, Mr. Johnson spent a decade at the Louisiana Department of Insurance and was the Deputy Commissioner for the Office of Property and Casualty when he left.

Mr. Johnson advises clients nationwide on insurance regulatory, government relations and procurement, and legislative matters. His clients include national and international insurance and reinsurance companies, underwriters and agencies, as well as international manufacturers of automobiles and heavy equipment.

In his insurance regulatory practice, Mr. Johnson represents insurance entities with licensing, market conduct, solvency and reinsurance matters, and he represents insurance producers in licensing and market conduct matters. In his government procurement practice, he negotiates contracts and agreements with governmental agencies on behalf of clients. He also counsels clients in responding to requests for proposals issued by governmental agencies, conducts bid protests and pursues appeals to the district court.
