Rekindling Passion For The LawIn NC Bar Live Program

Revitalizing the Lawyer-Poet: What Lawyers Can Learn From Rock and Roll is the title of an upcoming program being hosted by the North Carolina Bar Association on Friday, December 12. The course, intended to provide a fresh view of professionalism for attendees, begins at 9:15 a.m. and concludes at 3:15 p.m. at the NC Bar Center, Cary, North Carolina. In addition, more than twenty video replays of this course are planned throughout the state.

Russell G. Pearce, a professor at the Fordham University School of Law, writes and lectures in the field of professional responsibility and is the author of many books as well as a film essay. He will be the featured speaker for the NC Bar course. Professor Pearce intends to challenge traditional notions of professionalism by examining how the definition and role of professionalism have evolved, and offering a fresh approach for rekindling the enjoyment and passion in the modern practice of law.

Other faculty will include E. Osborne Ayscue Jr., McGuireWoods LLP; Brian O. Beverly, Young Moore & Henderson PA; and the Honorable Linda Stephens, North Carolina Court of Appeals.
