Program Will Examine Internal Investigations

The Northeast Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel America this month has scheduled a CLE seminar titled A House Divided: When the Board Investigates Senior Management - Key Issues to Consider in Internal Investigations.

The program will take place on Tuesday, May 8 from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the office of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP, 111 Huntington Ave, Boston.

On the assumption that internal investigations are more than just business as usual, this program will outline an investigation plan that starts with the right selection of investigators and covers the practical do's and don'ts of how the investigation should be conducted.

Discussions will focus on immediate steps and missteps when the crisis first hits to avoid compromising the integrity of the investigation before it starts; who should conduct the investigation and why in-house counsel shouldn't necessarily be over-involved, and strategies for avoiding the internal cross-fire in an internal investigation.

Speakers for the seminar are still to be announced.

There is no registration fee.
