The Pro Bono Institute has scheduled its Annual Gala, Partnering for Justice, for Tuesday, November 6.
The event will take place at Gotham Hall, Broadway at 36th Street, New York City, starting with a reception at 6:30 p.m. and followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m.
The 2007 Pro Bono Institute Gala will highlight partnerships between and among in-house legal departments, major law firms and public interest groups, that enhance and leverage the value and impact of pro bono service. A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the John H. Pickering Award to the firm of Arnold & Porter LLP.
Serving as co-chairs for the Gala are Robert G. Abrams, Howrey LLP; James B. Buda, vice president, general counsel and secretary, Caterpillar Inc.; Peter J. Kalis, K&L Gates, and Bradford L. Smith, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Microsoft Corporation.
