International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP has announced that Brendan Moylan will join the Firm as a partner in the London office.
Brendan is currently a partner in Latham & Watkins’ Private Equity Practice. He acts for infrastructure funds and direct investors on M&A transactions across a broad range of infrastructure assets, including utilities, transport, renewables, technology and communications, and social infrastructure.
Brendan is currently ranked as a Band 1 Infrastructure practitioner in Chambers UK, 2023 and listed in the Hall of Fame in The Legal 500 UK, 2023 for Infrastructure M&A.
Commenting on the hire, Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf said: “We are delighted to have recruited a senior infrastructure M&A practitioner of Brendan’s calibre. He is a leading lawyer in his field and key to the further development of our top-tier Private Equity Infrastructure practice.”
London Managing Partner Mike Francies added: “Brendan has a track record of advising on some of the most high profile infrastructure deals for the largest and most prestigious funds in the market. He will be a valuable addition to our London platform and will work closely with Infrastructure Finance partner Paul Hibbert and his team, as well as the wider Global Private Equity Infrastructure team.”
Brendan’s hire follows the recent recruitment in London this year of Sarah Flaherty in M&A and Gilles Teerlinck and Andrew Hagan in High Yield.
