PLI Schedules Licensing Agreements Seminar

The Practising Law Institute has scheduled a seminar titled Advanced Licensing Agreements 2009 for Thursday and Friday, February 26 and 27, at the PLI center at 685 Market Street in San Francisco.

A simultaneous live webcast of this event will be available.

This is an advanced seminar designed for those who already have experience in the substantive area of intellectual property law and who devote much of their practice to licensing. It will address some of the more complex and practical issues that arise in drafting and negotiating licensing IP licenses as well as tips to manage your patent portfolio. Some specific topics that will be covered are tips on how to avoid the most frequently made mistakes in patent and technology licensing; recent developments in copyright and content licensing; representations, warranties, and indemnifications in software licensing; critical updates on the legal enforceability of open source licenses; and guidelines for managing a trademark licensing program.
